Home baked bread- easy to make I recommend

Ok so it turned out very nice! It needed more baking time so I added it back in the oven for an additional 20 minutes:

.5 tsp salt

2 tsp baking powder

.5 cup sugar

1.5 cups cups milk or alternative

1 tsp butter

2 eggs

1.5 tsp vinegar or apple cider (I think this reacts with the baking soda to make the bread fluffy)

3 cups of flour (any type)

Add this all in the bread machine and select cake bread if you have. I used 2 on my Panasonic but next time will see if there is a program that bakes it for longer.

I’d definitely recommend this. You know exactly what’s in your bread, you will be proud you actually made it yourself and your using something you might not use that often- in my case- the bread machine!

Panasonic Breadmaker I recommend

I’m guilty of buying new things that I use a couple of times then they end up getting dustier and dustier and eventually end up in a cupboard. One of these “things” is a bread maker. I bought it a couple of years ago when I was feeling inspired- and used it three times probably. A bit of a waste. Another goal of mine with this blog is to look around in my home and think about what I already have. Yes perhaps materialistic and privileged for some- but that’s another different story. How many of us get convinced to buy something, use the new gadget, or thing, a few times then when motivation seeps away or we get distracted- stop using it?! Well I’m guilty! So today I’m using my bread-maker. I can’t promise I will post pictures of what the loaf will look like but this is another start for me. To stop and think and to use what I have and be grateful for it.

I’ll post the ingredients and the how to make this particular loaf once it’s finished. Fingers crossed it’ll come out similar to what it’s supposed to but you know what- I will start using this bread maker regularly and share with you so hopefully I can start share amazing looking bread and cakes on this blog as well! It’s pretty simple to use- just mix all ingredients and select the appropriate programme. Just go for it- I recommend. Live life now!

I will make this my 4th challenge actually. To look into what I already have in my home and use it: gadgets, make-up, beauty products, shoes in a cupboard, that old jacket and so on. Then it might make me realise that I can actually give what I don’t use and need, away. So all in all a very good exercise.

Saturday baking- no eggs and dairy free chocolate cake

Maybe not the healthiest of breakfasts starting the day sampling cake batter… but it’s dairy and egg free:

1. Set oven on 160c/ 320f

2. Mix the dry ingredients together:

1 2/3 cup of sifted flour

4 tbs of baking powder

1 cup of sugar

2/3 cup of cocoa powder

2 tbs of vanilla sugar

3. Mix this with:

1 3/4 cup of dairy free liquid

3 tbs of oil or dairy free butter

4. Mix all together in a bowl

5. Pour this all in a greased floured pan (22cm)

6. Bake for 40mins, check that it comes out clean after testing it with a toothpick or similar

7. Cool it then enjoy!

Spotify- an admirer and I truly recommend

So today I have a lot of admin to do at home and fun things such as cleaning… I really love Spotify and am impressed with how they’ve become so big. So that’s what I’m listening to whilst doing these things. If they’re profitable or not yet I’m not sure. But what a brand and power they have. I truly admirer entrepreneurs and their drive. I think truly it is about having a vision, visualise, dream big, feel it in your stomach, work hard and put a lot of effort into something you truly really believe in. Who says there are limits and that you can’t reach your goal? Just go for it, dream big, don’t give up, enjoy every minute of every day. Live life now!
