Happy Wednesday and Christmas approaching!

Today is the start of festivities for me! I love this time of year; family birthdays, friends birthdays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve. I know that for some people this can also be a stressful time of year. But it really doesn’t have to! Decide what is right for you and what you want to partake in! You can set limits. Try instead and focus on the good and on the positive. Time for yourself, with family and friends- if you so wish!

I’ve mentioned on several occasion “Hygge”. This time of year- it’s all about that! To make your life nice and cozy. I’ve been looking at various lights- and IKEA is a great place for that. I’ve also found a website called

Homeroom

They have some beautiful lights for Christmas. I am tempted and some will definitely go on my wish list!

Lights for table, to have in the windows and a bundle of colourful bobbles. The culture and traditions in the Nordics are a true mix I have to be honest. I will do some research about the more important dates here such as 1st Sunday in December, 13 December and 24 December. What is so special about these dates? Also note that these are dates I recall from growing up in Sweden. Traditions are different in Denmark.

Anyway these items are on my wish list as I truly want to create “Hygge” around me as the darker and colder weather approaches.

I really recommend.

Day 7+ 1 Yoga with Adriene

Today is the last session of the Yoga challenge.

Movement Medicine

A gentle albeit stretchy session with some fun Lions breaths included. It is supposed to reduce stress and anger. It is said also to be an outlet for negative energy so a great way to start your day!

My last two weeks have been insanely busy. I really feel that by doing and committing to yoga has really helped me feel more grounded, centred and positive. We all do the best we can with what we have- right?!

This week’s challenge is going to be to think about the difference that you actually make; in your life and to people who are near and dear to you. Like yourself- give yourself compliments, treat yourself with kindness and stop being hard on yourself. I think we all work hard in one way or another; to be a nice partner, good parent, good caretaker to your dog, cat or other animals, looking after family members, helping clients and so on.

So this week, I recommended that you acknowledge yourself and tell yourself that you are great! Until next week’s challenge- Namaste 🙏🏻😌

Day 6+ 1 Yoga with Adriene

This session is a longer one. It’s not very strenuous but involves a lot of stretching. A very good session to do for your whole body.

Self Love

You can completely wear something comfortable whilst doing this. Maybe even stay in your PJs? It’s a bit longer though at 50 minutes but when you’re done you’ll feel absolutely amazing!!!

If I can do this- anyone can!!! One more day left and please… remember to enjoy the journey! That’s why we do this- right?!

This morning was a little bit darker again so now it’s time for two candles!!!

Family

There have not been many days where I have not written since I started here. I really enjoy writing and the liking and the feedback! I have to admit that I have not had the chance (or taken the time…) to complete the last two sessions of the Yoga Challenge. I’ve had to focus- or been wanting to focus- on my family, birthdays and parties instead. We’ve had a fantastic weekend! But I still wanted to check in here and make sure you’ve also had a great weekend. Different people get energy from different things. I’d say I’m an intro-social extrovert. I love socialising but I also enjoy my own company. This weekend has been full of socialising, kids, eating, partying and spending time with loved ones. A true “Hygge” weekend so I’m very happy and feel so blessed.

Tomorrow is a new start again so I will complete the Yoga challenge tomorrow and Tuesday! Let’s get ready for a new amazing start!!!

(As opposed to write that I’ve completed it when in real life… I haven’t… 🙏🏻😌)

Maybe someone in here has beaten me to it?!
