Sunday yoga tips!

As you may or may not know, I am a big big fan of Yoga with Adriene.

A few weeks ago, my back snapped. It was incredibly painful! So now I’m trying to get back to the “before”. If you have back ache I really recommend moving and stretching as opposed to being still. Of course we are all different and I’m not a doctor so these are by no means medical advice. But I did find that by moving through the pain, it has started to clear up.

Yoga movements for lower back ache

I just tried this very gentle session. And I did it extremely gently listening to my body. The last thing I want is for it to happen again!

I also read this Post about Chocolate and back ache and it made me think about my own diet that is full of too much refined sugar. Unfortunately one of the draw backs being back in Scandinavia with all the amazing liquorice… I need to get a grip!!!

Anyway- I so recommend gentle movements through back pain (with the huge!!! disclaimer I am NOT a doctor), but so far it is working for me and of course to that you listen to your body!!!

Have an amazing Sunday and go out and move your body today!!!

How to manage Stress?

There are buzz words and there are buzz words. Stress- something that has been around human kind since the beginning of days. Imagine what our ancestors faced on a daily basis? Today, we are much better at labelling things- one of them is stress. It is something I personally struggle with at times and I really need to tell myself that “if you do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got” (Henry Ford) So it’s time to take action!

Stress management I will be listening to these, start up my yoga and meditation again. It’s never too late to start again.

Having a full time job, being one parent a lot of the time managing our household and everything around that- well sometimes it just gets too much. Then it’s time to take a step back and rethink and priorities differently.

Andrea Steane also shared a fantastic picture the other day that I want to share with you. When I read it, it really rang true to me! What do you do in stressful times? What are your coping mechanisms??? Please do share?!

Focus, vision, goal and affirmation!

Focus this week is to face the difficulties. To some extent we all have our own battles, struggle with various things in our daily life- the solution might be to just not quit- don’t give up but try- and try again!

It’s so important as well to realise your own power- in terms of vision- you are what you manifest! Believe in yourself!

There are so many goals to achieve?! This week think big, trust in you and make what you want to achieve happen. Why not? What’s stopping you?

I like this quote that I’ve come across:

  • What you think, you become
  • What you feel, you attract
  • What you imagine, you create

A quote I believe originated from Buddha.

I do recommend! Go and have a great, great week!

Friday inspiration!!!

Friday is here. A great day (as are the other six days as well). Do you ever feel and realise that your thoughts actually correspond to your reality. Your thoughts equal you. Your mind is a powerful tool. It is who you are and it reflects your reality. And you are the owner of this tool- you. No one else. Try and start each day with a positive thought. I’ve mentioned it before- I really recommend the App “3 good things”. Quick and powerful and a great way to start your day! Do something just for you. To set the direction- so you remember how powerful you are! You… are in charge! I so recommend! Have an amazing Friday!!!
