As you may or may not know, I am a big big fan of Yoga with Adriene.
A few weeks ago, my back snapped. It was incredibly painful! So now I’m trying to get back to the “before”. If you have back ache I really recommend moving and stretching as opposed to being still. Of course we are all different and I’m not a doctor so these are by no means medical advice. But I did find that by moving through the pain, it has started to clear up.
Yoga movements for lower back ache
I just tried this very gentle session. And I did it extremely gently listening to my body. The last thing I want is for it to happen again!
I also read this Post about Chocolate and back ache and it made me think about my own diet that is full of too much refined sugar. Unfortunately one of the draw backs being back in Scandinavia with all the amazing liquorice… I need to get a grip!!!
Anyway- I so recommend gentle movements through back pain (with the huge!!! disclaimer I am NOT a doctor), but so far it is working for me and of course to that you listen to your body!!!
Have an amazing Sunday and go out and move your body today!!!
I know through doing Pilates when I struggled to do movements after a really bad neck spasm that went also into my back, it was doing things very gentle. Just small movements were better than nothing and using my spiky ball to massage into those very painful and sore areas. Although I was back at work in a few weeks, getting back to my usual self took about three months. It was all about listening to your body and doing movements very gently and increasing the movements in very small gentle amounts, observing how your body finds it, to get it back on the road to recovery.

Sounds like very sound advice! Back ache is no fun and you really have to listen to your body. Thank you so much for sharing ππ»π

I adore YWA and I have had back problems on and off after my second pregnancy, I think it’s more pelvis than back, but yoga, especially the Yoga for a bad back etc videos are brilliant. I can’t live without chocolate though π
