Europe is one of 7 continents in the world. According to the UN, it consists of 44 countries. I’m sure these facts can be debated, but if it’s one thing I’ve learned is that sometimes you just have to draw a line when it comes to facts- as generally most things can be debated- of course!
What’s interesting though is that some categorise European languages into living and dead languages. Some of these dead languages are the Classical Greek and Latin ones.
When I travel to a country, I always find that it helps if you can understand a little bit of the language that is spoken. And ideally if you can speak it, that’s even better! If not I think it’s great if you at the very least can say the very basic such as hello and thank you.
Right now on my list my list, I need to be able to say: yasu, sas exfaristo and adio.
A good App I just stumbled upon is: nemo Greek. I will let you know if I can recommend it!
